Lake Austin Eye is performing Corneal Crosslinking

Lake Austin Eye is excited to announce that we offer Corneal Crosslinking to those patients that suffer from Keratoconus or Post-LASIK Corneal Ectasia.

Both conditions cause a thinning and bulging of the cornea, which results in suboptimal vision. Often, the only solution for these patients, if the disease is left to progress, is corneal transplantation. The FDA has finally approved the Corneal Crosslinking procedure, in which Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) is applied to the cornea and UV light is used to react with the riboflavin to make the cornea flatter and stronger. Drs. Cottle and Chan both perform Corneal Crosslinking and have been impressed with the results. Call our office today if you or someone you know may be suffering from these debilitating conditions.
